Dr. David L Wynes, Ph.D.
Vice President of the Office of Research

The Vice President for Research Administration supports and fosters the scholarly work of the faculty, facilitates multidisciplinary initiatives within the University, works with faculty and other offices to develop new sources of funding, supports and coordinates direct sponsored and non-sponsored research activities and direct University-based technology transfer programs, supports and advises the University community in areas of research compliance, and establishes good working relationships with external communities.

Dr. Wynes holds a Ph.D. in zoology and has experience spanning a wide range of research and educational institutions. At Emory, he oversees several offices including the Office of Research Compliance, Office of Sponsored Programs, and the Office of Technology Transfer. He is also the Institutional Official on Emory’s federal assurances for human subject research and animal subject research.
